Barbara Roberstson began her career as a primary school teacher in London and Hampshire. She lived and taught in Canada for many years, where she was also involved in organizing community nursery schools. and taught special needs to adolescents in crisis. On returning to the UK she again taught in London before moving to County Durham.

Barbara has pulished 6 childrens books, Viking Ventures (Book Guild 2013), Moving Day (Stockwell 2012), A Summer of Trees (Stockwell 2013)  Brindle (Book Guild 2013) Moving Again (2014) Intrigue at the Castle (2016)
